Yes, life is crazy busy. The line between work and family life is constantly blurring. There are a million commitments to work, school, friends, family, doctor’s appointments, and the never-ending pile of laundry. The thing is… most of these stuff aren't going anywhere. Your kids on the other hand, grow by the very minute. Their sense of self-worth, and finding their own voice and place in this world is something that starts at a young age. One day, they will be grown, and ready to leave the nest. It’s in these fleeting years that we have a tiny window to impact their self-perception.
All kids want and need is "feeling loved". How can you show your kids that you love them, respect them, and care about them if you don’t have time to listen?
They need YOU NOW. LISTEN earnestly to anything your kids want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big because to them all of it has always been big stuff.
No judgement, no jump into conclusion, just listen with an open heart and an open mind is all it needs!
